On December 25, a working group of the Russian Emergencies Ministry arrived at the Vytegra Arctic Rescue Research and Training Center. The purpose of the visit is to consider issues of further development of the center and its possibilities for integration into the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The group included Director of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technical Activities Alexander Bondar, Director of the Department of Rescue Formations Igor Kutrovsky, Director of the Department of Personnel Policy Grigory Moschik, Head of the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia Bogdan Gavkalyuk and Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Vologda Region Vasily Balchugov …

During the round table, the issues of increasing the efficiency of activities, expanding the scope of scientific activity, developing the staffing system, organizing the functioning of the educational process of the Center were discussed. The meeting participants exchanged views and proposals on the possibility and feasibility of integrating these educational institutions.

The members of the working group then took part in the festive event dedicated to the opening of the art workshop “Breeze”, the Day of the Rescuer and the New Year at the educational center – the cadet school “Ship of Prionezhia” named after the Hero of Russia Y.L. Vorobyov.

In a solemn atmosphere, the director of the cadet school, Alexander Provorov, and the head of the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Bogdan Gavkalyuk, signed a cooperation agreement.

A day earlier, a friendly hockey match between the teams of the EMERCOM of Russia and the Government of the Vologda Region took place in the Vologda Region. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov congratulated the specialists of the emergency department on the upcoming professional holiday, noted the importance of such meetings and made a symbolic throw-in of the puck. Deputy Governor of the region Viktor Ryabishin in his welcoming speech noted that the match, timed to coincide with the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation, will become a good tradition. The EMERCOM team of Russia won with a score of 7-4.
