This year, 210 elevators have been replaced in residential buildings in the Northern Administrative District of Moscow. The work was carried out as part of the regional program for the overhaul of apartment buildings.

The oldest building in the Northern Administrative District, in which the elevator was replaced, is located in the Golovinsky district, next to the park of the Mikhalkovo estate, at the address: 1st Likhachevsky lane, building 4, building 1. It was built in 1931 for the workers of the Peter Alekseev factory.

Most of the elevators – 14 pieces – were replaced in the building, which is located in Khovrin at the address: Zelenogradskaya street, house 17. The 17-storey building was built in 1996, it has seven entrances.

The tallest building is also located in Khovrin, where new elevators were installed this year. This is a 22-storey building, erected in 1999 at 36 Petrozavodskaya Street.

More than three thousand elevators have been replaced under the overhaul program since the beginning of the year

In total, more than three thousand elevators have been replaced in the capital this year. This was previously said by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov… Among the leaders are the South-Eastern Administrative District (654 elevators), the South-Western Administrative District (499) and the Eastern Administrative District (371).

Since 2018, elevators in houses have been changed strictly in the year of the end of the 25-year service life without further extending the operating period. Experts dismantle old equipment and install new ones. If there are several elevators at the entrance, they are changed one at a time so that the residents do not experience any inconvenience.
