Cadets of the Faculty of Construction of Naval Base of the Military Institute (Engineering and Technical) of the Military Academy of Logistics have visited one of the oldest drama theaters in Russia, which has survived to our time – the Alexandrinsky Theater.

The cadets were lucky enough to attend a performance by Valery Fokin, artistic director of the Alexandrinsky Theater. “Schweik. The Return ”is based on the world famous satirical novel by Jaroslav Hasek“ The Adventure of the Gallant Soldier Švejk during the World War ”.

This is a story that raises questions that are very important for everyone – about peace and war, about the relationship between man and the state, about the personal responsibility of each for what is happening.

Each of the cadets enjoyed the acting, received a charge of vigor and good mood.

For two and a half centuries, the Russian State Drama Theater served as an attribute of the Russian statehood. From the day of its foundation until 1917, it was the main imperial theater, the fate of which was taken care of by the Russian emperors. Today the Alexandrinsky Theater is directed by Valery Fokin, People’s Artist of Russia, laureate of State Prizes.

The repertoire of the Alexandrinsky Theater includes both classical performances and modern productions.
