In order to create collective immunity in the formations and military units of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL), military personnel of the autumn 2021 conscription are being vaccinated against the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. During the current week, it is planned to complete the vaccination of 100% of the recruits of the autumn 2021 draft.

Vaccination of recruits with the first vaccine “Gam-COVID-Vac” (“Sputnik V”) of Russian production is carried out after a medical examination, examination for the presence of antibodies against COVID-19, measuring the pressure and thermometry of the body of the vaccinated. Vaccination is carried out voluntarily on the basis of a written consent to the introduction of the components of the drug. Also, before the injection, military doctors inform patients about the effect of the drug on the human body, the rules of behavior during vaccination. After vaccination for half an hour, the vaccinated are under the supervision of doctors. At the end of immunization, each vaccinated person receives a certificate of the established form.

Along with the vaccination of young recruits against the new coronavirus infection, revaccination of military personnel, their families and civilian personnel who received a full course of vaccination before June 1, 2021, continues at CFL. Prophylactic vaccinations are carried out by teams of medical specialists on the basis of the polyclinic of the 412th military hospital in the city of Kaspiysk. At present, more than 70% of the personnel have been revaccinated at KFL.

In total, more than 40 vaccination posts have been deployed on the territory of the Southern Military District and over 60 vaccination teams have been formed, half of which are mobile. To minimize the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the troops, timely measures were taken and, first of all, the vaccination of the personnel of the Southern Military District, members of their families, as well as civilian personnel. In total, more than 130 thousand servicemen were revaccinated from the new coronavirus infection in the Southern Military District.
