On December 27, on the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation, the Acting Head of EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan solemnly launched “Book of Glory”… The multimedia project tells about the Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, employees of the department, who were awarded state awards and titles – Honored Rescuer of the Russian Federation and Honored Firefighter.
The event was attended by Deputy Ministers Oleksiy Serko and Viktor Nichiporchuk.
To date, the Book of Glory contains 10 Heroes of the Russian Federation and 1318 employees who have received state awards.
Visitors to the information resource can also familiarize themselves with stories about emergencies and incidents, descriptions of the exploits of firefighters, rescuers and mine rescuers and their photographs, biographies, merits and awards. The site has a convenient search for awards, the names of heroes and employees of the department. The information is posted for the period from 1991 to 2021, formed in alphabetical and chronological order. The work on filling it continues.
The Book of Glory is already available for users and has been adapted for different platforms and screen resolutions.
This is the second project of this kind, implemented by the department, containing unique archival materials. Last year, a project was launched about EMERCOM employees who died in the line of duty – “Book of Memory”… To date, the site has been visited 40 thousand times.
In addition, for the professional holiday, thematic headings were opened on the official Internet portal of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia – “History of the Ministry of Emergencies” and “Holidays of the Ministry of Emergency Situations”… They contain the main milestones in the formation and development of the department, as well as information on the holiday dates of firefighters and rescuers.
