On the eve of the New Year holidays in Vladivostok, on the basis of the CSKA sports center, the Pacific Fleet championship in army hand-to-hand combat was held.

Athletes from eight teams from formations and units of the coastal military garrisons took part in the competition. The servicemen fought for victory in seven weight categories.

In the course of stubborn battles, the “Shtorm” command of the formation of surface ships won the competition. The second place was won by the team of the seaside unit of the Marine Corps “Zalp”. Bronze awards went to servicemen from the Typhoon team of the Vladivostok branch of the Joint Training Center of the Navy.

Champions and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded memorable cups, medals and certificates.

For reference: Army hand-to-hand combat (ARB) is a universal system for teaching defense and attack techniques, which combines many functional elements from the arsenal of world types of martial arts (striking techniques with hands, legs, head, wrestling techniques, painful techniques), tested in real combat activities. A modern and rapidly developing type of martial arts, which has gained popularity for full contact fights.
