And first of all, I would like to thank you for the difficult, tense, risky service, for the fact that you with dignity, honesty and conscientiousness solve a huge array of tasks that are entrusted to the Russian Emergencies Ministry. All of them are extremely responsible, important, significant for citizens, for our society and state, directly related to the protection of people’s health and life.
This year, EMERCOM units fought the consequences of floods, saved settlements in many regions of Russia from fire, and solved important tasks to combat the coronavirus epidemic.
I would also like to emphasize that the specialists of the Ministry, within the framework of Russian humanitarian missions abroad, have actively and professionally worked in Afghanistan, Syria and other countries. The vaccine against coronavirus was delivered to Cuba, Mozambique, India and the Republic of South Africa.
I want to emphasize again: our rescuers are among the best in terms of the level of professionalism, accumulated experience, speed and clarity of working out the most difficult, extraordinary tasks. You set standards that guide your colleagues around the world. Russia is rightfully proud of you. And our citizens know for sure that the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are ready to come to the rescue at any time of the day or night, that they will use all reserves, all available forces and means, equipment, personnel in order to eliminate any threat as soon as possible, and will fight for each person , even at the cost of your own life.
Our comrades, who, fulfilling their duty, sacrificed themselves for the sake of others, will forever remain by our side, in the honorary lists of the best fighters of the Ministry of Emergencies. Among them are the courageous, fearless mine rescuers who died at the Listvyazhnaya mine, and the Minister, General of the Army Yevgeny Nikolaevich Zinichev.
I am sure that Russian rescuers will always honor, sacredly preserve and observe the traditions of selfless, dedicated service to their country and people. And this is a reliable basis for personnel strengthening of the department, for comprehensive professional training and further growth of young employees who have deep, sincere respect for the honored veterans-rescuers, those who stood at the origins of the modern EMERCOM of Russia system. Their personal contribution to its formation and development is highly appreciated and appreciated.
