In the Kaliningrad region, at the Khmelevka training ground, an airborne assault unit of the Baltic Fleet marine corps was trained to destroy a sabotage and reconnaissance group of a simulated enemy.

The Marine Corps completed the task of organizing the ambush and, letting the DRG as close as possible, destroyed it with standard weapons.

During the training, the marines also worked out the skills of capturing prisoners, conducting reconnaissance patrols, and methods of disabling the communications of a conditional enemy.

The personnel performed live firing from the armament of the BTR-82A, sniper rifles and machine guns.
