At the Adanak training ground in Dagestan, the servicemen of the artillery units of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL), in preparation for the Masters of Artillery Fire competition, worked out shooting and fire control tasks with live firing.

During the training, the crews of 122-mm D-30 howitzers and 120-mm mortar complexes “Sani” performed practical firing with a standard projectile from closed firing positions, firing at targets about 500 artillery shells and mines. As a result of the execution of fire missions, the gunners hit full-size targets imitating the enemy’s military equipment and fire weapons at a distance of 3 to 12 km.

Also in the field, communication and interaction of artillery with combined arms units and calculations of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles was organized.

In total, over 50 units of KFl artillery and military equipment were involved in training events at the Adanak training ground.
