As part of the celebration of the Day of the Rescuer in Reutov, Moscow Region, the grand opening of the reconstructed facilities of the largest fire and rescue unit in the region – the Specialized Fire and Rescue Unit took place and the heads of combat units were awarded certificates for new equipment.

The ceremony was attended by Sergei Velichev, Head of the Investment and Construction Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia, Sergei Poletykin, Head of the EMERCOM Main Directorate for the Moscow Region, and representatives of the Moscow Region authorities. Sergey Velichev congratulated the rescuers of the Moscow region on their professional holiday and presented state and departmental awards to the distinguished employees.

The ceremony continued with the inauguration of the reconstructed facilities of the special unit. Reutov’s SRSG is the head subdivision of the airmobile grouping of the Moscow region, which in the shortest possible time is ready to get together, follow and carry out tasks as intended at any point in both the Moscow region and the country. The reliable operation of all technical mechanisms is inextricably linked with infrastructure support. The reconstruction of the old buildings took two years. Obsolete buildings: warehouses, hangars, treatment facilities were dismantled, and in their place were erected modern facilities that meet all the necessary requirements. A service dormitory for 19 apartments, a modern garage for 22 car exits, a multifunctional post for daily maintenance of special equipment were built, a complete replacement of boiler room equipment was carried out, and communications were updated. For combat and sports training of personnel, a heat-smoke chamber, a training complex, a sports ground, and a training fire tower have been built. “

The specialized fire and rescue unit is built according to the latest technology. In addition, we purchased and supplied 41 units of special fire-fighting and rescue equipment, as well as clothing items. There is everything here that allows combat units to perform their functions, “- said Sergei Velichev, Head of the Investment and Construction Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The construction work has been completed and the guests were able to see their result. The building will house not only units of the SRSU, but also the fire extinguishing service of the Moscow region, as well as the museum of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Moscow region.
