In Moscow, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, and Acting Head of the Ministry of Emergencies, Colonel-General of the Internal Service, Alexander Chupriyan, laid flowers at the monument to rescuers and firefighters.

The monument unites three compositions dedicated to rescuers and firefighters, mine rescuers and veterans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It is installed on Kremenchugskaya Street and faces Vatutin Street, where the building of the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is located.

Army General Sergei Shoigu and Colonel General of the Internal Service Alexander Chupriyan laid burgundy roses to all three sculptures.

On December 27, the country celebrates the Day of the Rescuer. Together with colleagues from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it is also celebrated by specialists from the search and rescue services of the Russian Armed Forces.

Also, the Minister of Defense of Russia congratulated all rescuers on their professional holiday.
