Order of December 24, 2021 No. 3835-r

A pilot experiment to create infrastructure for electric transport starts in Russia. The list of territories and federal roads, where charging stations for electric vehicles and electric buses will appear first of all, was approved by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The pilot experiment is planned to be implemented until 2024. 16 territories and one motorway will become its participants.

So, at the first stage (in 2022), projects to create a charging infrastructure for electric transport are planned to be implemented in the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, in the Leningrad, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Sakhalin regions, in Tatarstan. The federal highway M-4 “Don” was also chosen for the pilot.

At the second stage (2023), charging stations for electric transport are planned to be built in the Vladimir, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Lipetsk, Rostov, Tula regions, in the Primorsky and Stavropol Territories, the Chuvash Republic, in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

When selecting the territories, their location along the busiest M-4 “Don” highway and the Moscow-Kazan highway under construction were taken into account.

The creation of infrastructure for electric transport is provided for by the “road map” approved by the Government for the development of production and use of electric transport. It assumes that by 2030 the share of produced electric vehicles in the total volume of vehicle production will reach 10%. In addition, by this time at least 72 thousand charging stations will be launched in Russia.
