The cherished envelope with the dream of Yaroslav Tyulyaev from the village of Cherntsy in the Lezhnevsky boarding school for orphans in the Ivanovo region was removed from the New Year tree by the chief of staff – first deputy commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Fazletdinov.

In his letter, the boy wrote his deepest desire: “I want to see and ride, if possible, on the big Yars rocket, which participated in the Victory Parade and (seen on TV) drives along the roads of our Ivanovo region.”

The fulfillment of the dream was not long in coming and became a gift not only for Yaroslav, but also for his friends and classmates.

At the position of one of the missile regiments of the Teikovo missile formation, the future missileman was met by the officers of the formation. Before putting him in the driver’s seat, they conducted an excursion for the children in the missile regiment, and also showed what was inside the combat watch support vehicle and talked about what tasks the Strategic Missile Forces were solving.

After an unforgettable test drive of the Yars PGRK launcher, Yaroslav and his friends were introduced to modern weapons, military and special equipment, including the Typhoon-M anti-sabotage combat vehicle with an unmanned aerial vehicle to guard the Yars missile system.

The tour of the missile formation ended with lunch and a birthday cake in the soldiers’ cafeteria with the command of the Teikovo missile formation. The children were presented with sweet gifts from Santa Claus, and Yaroslav addressed the military with the words: “Thank you for making your dream come true!”
