On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, servicemen of the detachments to counteract sabotage forces and means of the Baltic and Leningrad naval bases of the Baltic Fleet examined the points of permanent deployment of the ships of the fleet in Baltiysk, Kronstadt and Lomonosov.

The combat swimmers checked the water area for possible laying of explosives and caches, and also carried out an inspection of the underwater units and propeller-driven groups of surface ships.

After surveying the water area, the combat swimmers worked out underwater orientation in poor visibility, and also dived to various depths.

The training of such tasks by the servicemen of the PDSS detachment is carried out on an ongoing basis at all bases of the fleet forces, regardless of the time of year and weather conditions.
