The wedding ceremonies will be held at the skating rinks of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve.

The wedding ceremonies at the skating rinks of VDNKh and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve will be held in Moscow on Valentine’s Day in 2022. Thus, it was decided to repeat the experience of the outgoing year, popular among Muscovites.

“In 2021, on Valentine’s Day, we held a solemn ceremony at the main skating rink of the capital at VDNKh and received many responses from newlyweds who would also like to register a marriage in such unusual conditions. Next year we decided to give more couples the opportunity to have their winter wedding on ice, and also increased the number of locations. Five couples will be able to get married on the skating rinks of Moscow on Valentine’s Day. Until December 31, newlyweds can personally apply for marriage at the skating rinks in the Wedding Palaces at VDNKh and at Kolomenskoye. Also, for the convenience of couples, applications will be accepted on New Year’s holidays at the Wedding Palaces No. 1, 4 and 5 and the Shipilovsky Department of the Civil Registry Office according to their work schedule, “said Svetlana Ukhaneva, Acting Head of the Moscow Civil Registry Office.

For couples who decide to register their marriage at the skating rink in Kolomenskoye, the Museum-Reserve will give a room for a day at the Kolomenskoye hotel located on its territory.

Starting January 11, the Wedding Palace at VDNKh will accept applications for marriage at the skating rink at VDNKh. To register a marriage on a skating rink in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, during the same period, you can submit an application at the Wedding Palace in Kolomenskoye.

On New Year’s holidays, personal applications on January 5 and 7 will be accepted in the Wedding Palaces No. 4 and 5, and on January 6 and 8 – in the Wedding Palace No. 1 and the Shipilovsky Department of the Civil Registry Office.

In addition, the capital’s registry offices have already opened the acceptance of applications for marriage registration at offsite locations for 2022. About 15 popular sites and about 13 thousand free places are already available for submitting applications. From January to November 2021, almost twice as many couples got married at unusual venues than in the same period of 2020.

You can apply for a marriage online on the portal or a single portal of public services, as well as in person at the registry office. The state fee is 350 rubles, however, when applying online, it is paid with a 30 percent discount and is 245 rubles.
