For reference: Mikhail Alekseevich Mezin was born on November 29, 1923. In 1941, while still a minor, he volunteered for the front with his friend. He was seriously wounded in 1942 at Stalingrad and the second time in 1943 in the Donbass. For his successes and high performance he was awarded the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, the medal “For Military Merit”, the Order “For Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR” of the 3rd degree. Mikhail Alekseevich went through all stages of military service from private to colonel, finished his service in 1982 at the age of 59, but to this day he continues to carry out patriotic work to educate the younger generation.
