Teams of sculptors from five countries will create masterpieces in front of the guests of the festival.

From January 2 to February 28, the international festival “Snow and Ice in Moscow” will be held in Gorky Park. Teams from different countries will create large-scale compositions: ice sculptures, figures made of snow and six-meter snowmen. Guests of the festival on an area of ​​more than eight thousand square meters are waiting for 30 amazing objects, as well as a snow fan zone.

Teams from Russia, Belarus, Finland, Uzbekistan and Italy will come to the festival. Russia will be represented by sculptors from nine cities at once, including St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vologda, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Barnaul, Yakutsk.

You can watch the creation of the winter exhibition in real time. The teams will work on the site from January 2. All figures will remain in the park and will be decorated with festive lighting until February 28th.

The site will be open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. The entrance is free. In addition to the exhibition, everyone will be able to watch street theater performances, listen to live music, have fun with trendy DJ sets, see street theater performances or visit the snowy fan zone.

The capital also hosts “Journey to Christmas” – the largest winter festival in Europe and the most popular holiday of the “Moscow Seasons”. This year it is held at 27 venues from December 10 to January 9. There are 18 free skating rinks, a curling area, as well as points of sale of ready-made meals and souvenirs for guests.
