As part of the New Year’s All-Russian action “Christmas tree of desires”, the airborne troops continue to fulfill the New Year’s wishes of children who wrote letters with wishes to Santa Claus.

In their letter, which came to the New Year tree of the Commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, eight-year-old twins Artyom and Alexander Kazemirskiy wrote about their dream of becoming a military man and visiting the Omsk military cadet corps.

The children’s wish was fulfilled by the deputy commander of the Airborne Forces for military-political work, Major General Viktor Kupchishin. The children were shown classes at one of the most modern military educational institutions.

During the excursion, the children visited specially equipped rooms for physics, biology, computer science and robotics, and visited airborne and combined-arms training classes.

Eight-year-old boys were able to get behind the wheel of a military truck on a modern military simulator, hold in their hands models of real weapons – an AK-74M assault rifle, an SVD rifle, a PKM machine gun and a grenade launcher.

Sasha and Artem have long wanted to get into the Omsk Cadet Corps. Despite the fact that the boys study only in the second grade, they have already firmly decided to connect their lives with military service.
