Tourists were invited to factories where ice cream and chocolate are made, sausages are cooked, vegetables are grown using advanced technologies, and unique jewelry is created using a 3D printer.
In 2021, over 10 million people watched more than 50 online excursions, and also visited 41 production facilities in the engineering, space rocket, food, chemical and other industries. Events of both formats are included in the program of the Open #Mosprom project.
Also, participants of the student week “Mosprom Studweek” were invited to separate face-to-face tours. It took place in Moscow in mid-December. Then the factories were visited by about a thousand students of Moscow universities.
“Excursions“ Open #Mosprom ”allow you to learn how Moscow products are made: from food products to microchips and parts for modern aircraft. The first face-to-face tours within the framework of the project were held back in 2019. For three years, about 19 thousand people got acquainted with the work of metropolitan manufacturers. In 2020, due to restrictions related to the pandemic, an online version of the project was launched. This format gives an opportunity for even more people to discover the capital’s industry “, – said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations
Also, students of specialized educational institutions take part in the excursions, for them it is an opportunity to determine their specialization and further employment.
“The list of capital enterprises participating in the Open #Mosprom project is constantly growing. This year alone, over 20 factories opened their doors to visitors for the first time. For example, the capital’s GalVent factory (a manufacturer of ventilation systems for industrial facilities) and the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant were introduced to the intricacies of production, ”said the head of the city Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov.
And every third virtual tour within the framework of the Open #Mosprom project was conducted live by celebrities, including ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze, conductor Yuri Bashmet, actress Maria Mironova, singer Sergei Zhukov and TV presenter Timur Rodriguez.
