On the newest corvette “Thundering” of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet), a planned exercise on survivability was held.

The personnel of the rescue group conducted training on the ship at the basing point at the quay wall.

In the course of working out the task, the crew of the newest corvette worked out the standards for collecting emergency parties, equipping in fire suits, sealing a conditional burning compartment and eliminating a hole.

To bring the situation during the training closer to a real drill, the ship was announced during the New Year holidays in order to check the readiness and skills of the military personnel.

In such exercises, the personnel work out to automatism the algorithms of actions when eliminating various consequences of emergency situations.

During the recent inter-fleet passage from the Baltic to the Pacific Fleet, during which the ship covered about 16 thousand nautical miles, the sailors regularly conducted damage control drills with the development of various emergency scenarios.

The “Thundering” corvette was accepted into the Pacific Fleet in December 2020, and arrived at its home base at the end of November 2021, having made an inter-fleet transition from the Baltic Fleet to the Pacific Fleet as part of the detachment.

During the inter-fleet passage, the sailors crossed the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, as well as the Baltic, North, Mediterranean, Red, Arabian, South China and Japan seas.

The corvette is capable of carrying Kalibr-NK cruise missiles.
