Moscow ice cream is in demand in the USA, Kazakhstan, Canada, China and Belarus.
According to the results of three quarters of 2021, the USA became the main sales market for Moscow ice cream. Exports to this country rose to $ 19.66 million, while in the same period last year it amounted to $ 3.89 million. The volume of supplies during this period increased more than four times – from 1.76 thousand tons to 7.52 thousand tons of products. “In just nine months of this year, 15.94 thousand tons of ice cream were exported, which is 65.3 percent more than in January-September 2020. In monetary terms, the volume of supplies increased by 72.7 percent to $ 39.64 million. The key consumers are the United States of America, Kazakhstan, Canada, China and Belarus, ”he said.
In second place among the importers of capital products is Kazakhstan (exports increased by 6.5 percent to $ 10.86 million), the total volume of supplies reached 5.18 thousand tons. Canada closes the top three of the largest importers. Supplies to this country increased by 3.1 percent to $ 1.54 million, and the volume of ice cream exports amounted to 1.02 thousand tons.
In total, Moscow ice cream was exported to 31 countries, while in the same period of 2020 there were 23 such countries. The capital’s export of cold delicacies has shown positive dynamics over the past few years, Alexander Prokhorov noted.
The total volume of agricultural exports from Moscow in the first nine months of 2021 increased by 10.9 percent and amounted to $ 2.8 billion. The main commodities include sugar: its supplies increased by 9.1 percent to $ 84.63 million, and the bulk fell on Kazakhstan (85 percent). In second place are chocolate products (supplies increased by 47.1 percent and reached $ 80.87 million), and in third place – flour confectionery (exports grew by 37.2 percent and amounted to $ 64.25 million).
