In Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), the All-Russian biathlon competition among girls and boys under 18, which became a junior alternative to the Izhevsk rifle and brought together more than two hundred biathletes of the country, ended. The competitions became qualifiers for the World Championship in the USA (February 20 to March 2, 2022) and for the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival among boys and girls 17-18 years old, which will be held in Finland from March 19 to 26.

In the sprint of a private sports company CSKA, Samara, Mikhail Morilov from Khanty-Mansiysk won gold, covering the distance of 7.5 km in 22 minutes 56.2 seconds. The second place in this discipline was taken by Vsevolod Korepanov from Khanty-Mansiysk – 23.43.2 seconds, the third – by the biathlete from Udmurtia Ivan Kozmin – 24.20.2 seconds.

The soldier noted that at the All-Russian competitions he passed one of the selection stages for the World Championship and the European Youth Festival. Now he will have to show his maximum at the Championship of Russia and the All-Russian competitions in Izhevsk, which will start on January 9 of the new year and will also become qualifiers.
