The peacekeeping brigade of the Central Military District fulfilled the desire of 6-year-old Bogdan Voronov from the Samara region to ride a “battle tank”. The young patriot was given a pass to the territory of a military unit in the Roshchinsky garrison, where he was given a ride on a modern armored personnel carrier BTR-82A.

The peacekeepers also showed Bogdan the location of the servicemen, an exhibition of combat grenade launchers, machine guns, machine guns and pistols. After a photo session with the weapons of the peacekeepers, Bogdan appreciated the museum of the brigade’s military glory, which houses unique exhibits from the times of the Great Patriotic War, as well as from the Syrian Arab Republic (the command staff was on a business trip to the SAR), South Ossetia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

At the end of the excursion, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden also brought a gift to the future defender of the Fatherland.

Bogdan’s sister Sofia Voronova expressed gratitude to the command of the military unit, the governor and the military commissariat of the Samara region for organizing the excursion and good impressions.

The excursion was organized after an appeal to the commander of the 2nd Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District, Lieutenant General Andrey Kolotovkin, Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov, to whom, in turn, Bogdan Voronov’s grandmother wrote a letter with a request to help fulfill her grandson’s New Year’s wish.

“Hello, Dmitry Igorevich! My grandson Bogdan is 6 years old. At 5 months, he underwent open-heart surgery. Now he is keen on collecting constructors, plays hockey, prepares to go to school. In general, thank God, everything is in order. Please, for the New Year, invite him to the military unit where the equipment is. Thank you in advance! ”, – wrote Bogdan’s grandmother Natalya Vladimirovna Shulga.
