Military doctors at the multifunctional medical center (MFMC) of the Russian Ministry of Defense, located in Novosibirsk, continue to provide assistance to patients with COVID-19 during the New Year holidays.

“On weekends and holidays, medical personnel work according to the previously approved schedule and this does not affect the work of the center in any way. After clinical recovery and laboratory confirmation of the absence of coronavirus infection, patients are discharged from the departments of the medical institution, ”explained the senior resident of the infectious diseases department, major of the medical service Nadezhda Tsyritorova.

More than 2,200 patients have been treated for coronavirus infection at the MFMC in Novosibirsk since the beginning of its work. Servicemen, as well as civilians from among the veterans of the Armed Forces and their family members receive medical assistance at the institution.

The center can accommodate 160 patients at a time. The center is equipped with modern equipment: computed tomography, anesthesiology, endoscopy, ultrasound machines, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and mobile medical equipment, which allows performing a number of studies directly in the ward.

At the moment, the occupancy rate of the medical center by patients is about 70%.
