About 4.5 thousand practical lessons on driving combat, special vehicles and vehicles were held in the formations and military units of the combined arms formation of the Central Military District, stationed in Siberia, in the current 2021 academic year. This was announced by the commander of the association, Lieutenant General Sergei Ryzhkov.

In comparison with the previous training period, there was an increase in the number of classes conducted by 10%.

In the current academic year, the main efforts in the training of driver mechanics were aimed at improving the skills to control combat vehicles, marching training in subunits, as well as constant targeted psychological training of personnel.

Also, special attention was paid to the implementation of exercises to overcome water obstacles.

“The driver-mechanics showed high knowledge of the rules for preparing combat vehicles for overcoming water obstacles, skills in driving combat vehicles under water and afloat, loading it onto a ferry facility and evacuating it. The training goals during the driving lessons were achieved, the crews of combat vehicles (vehicles) increased the level of professional training, the personnel are able to perform tasks as intended, ”the commander of the formation said.

The combined arms formation of the Central Military District is deployed in the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Territory, the Republic of Tyva and the Republic of Khakassia. It includes motorized rifle, artillery and anti-aircraft missile formations, RChBZ and communications troops.
