In 2021, about 50 young pilots of the bomber aviation regiment of the Western Military District mastered the action program in the event of emergency situations in the skies over the Voronezh region.

The military program included training in such actions as air refueling, intercepting aircraft without using weapons, piloting at ultra-low altitudes, overcoming the “enemy” air defense system, as well as various elements of piloting that are used in real defensive or offensive air combat.

Previously, each young officer underwent 800-hour training on a special aviation simulator that imitated the Su-30SM multipurpose fighter. On it, servicemen not only learned how to perform maneuvers at more than 100 take-off sites in the Russian Federation, but also prepared their bodies for real flights, having experienced the longitudinal and lateral overloads of the simulator.
