More than 2 thousand servicemen of the Amur combined-arms formation of the Eastern Military District (VVO), stationed in the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomy and the Khabarovsk Territory, took part in the celebration of the Nativity of Christ.

Traditionally, all Orthodox believers were congratulated by the commanders of formations and military units on the bright holiday of the Nativity of Christ. A visit to the church was also organized for Orthodox servicemen, who, on their own initiative, expressed a desire to participate in the Christmas service together with believing citizens.

Servicemen involved in combat duty, daily outfits and guards will be able to visit the temples after the end of the shift. Festive services were held in military churches, prayer rooms and chapels on the territory of formations and military units.

All activities are carried out in strict accordance with the requirements to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections in compliance with the mask regime and social distances.
