In 2022, in the interests of military air defense, it is planned to complete work on the creation of promising weapons “Derivation-Air Defense”, “Pantsir-SM-SV”, “Typhoon-Air Defense”.

To replace the Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft gun and ZU-23 twin anti-aircraft guns, a promising mobile anti-aircraft artillery system Derivation-Air Defense is being developed with a 57-mm high-ballistic automatic cannon and a multifunctional projectile with remote detonation near the target, which makes it possible to hit micro- and mini- UAV.

Also, for the Ground Forces, a modification of the Pantsir-SM-SV anti-aircraft missile and cannon system on a tracked chassis is being developed. The complex will have two types of anti-aircraft guided missiles and have an increased engagement zone.

Next year, the development of a combat vehicle for a squad of anti-aircraft gunners MANPADS “Typhoon-Air Defense” is being completed. The armament of combat vehicles can include both the existing Igla, Igla-S and Verba MANPADS, and the new generation Metka MANPADS.

The Ptitselov air defense missile system is also being developed, which uses two types of missiles with different guidance methods (self-guided by thermal radiation of the target and guided by a laser beam). The complex is designed to act directly at the forefront.
