The main project in transport construction is the construction of chord lines. It is planned that they will be fully ready in 2022–2023. Chords will connect 73 districts of the capital and improve the transport situation for 11.4 million Muscovites.

Also, work on the reconstruction of the Moscow Ring Road will continue. Experts have already renovated 18 transport interchanges, and four more are being rebuilt. In addition, in the coming years, the road network will develop in the ZIL and Mnevnikovskaya floodplain areas.

“Since 2012, within the framework of the formation of the transport frame of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas, 289 kilometers of new roads have been built in the annexed territories, of which 45.3 kilometers – in 2021. The section from Kievskoye Highway to the Stolbovo transport interchange hub (TPU) has already been opened.

Now work is underway on the section from Kievskoye to Borovskoye highway and from TPU “Stolbovo” to Polyana street. Next year, it is planned to begin construction of a section from Polyany Street to Varshavskoe Highway.

Over 11 years, 1121.3 kilometers of roads, 274 pedestrian crossings and 331 artificial structures have been built in Moscow. As a result, the length of the road network has increased by 20 percent.
