A new tank unit has been formed in the Pacific Fleet’s (Pacific Fleet) Coastal Forces Marine Corps, stationed in the Primorsky Territory.

The strike unit received more than 30 modernized modernized T-80BV tanks, which will significantly enhance the strike capabilities of the Pacific Fleet’s marines.

The technique has already been received and accepted by the driver mechanics.

The formed tank battalion as part of the Marine Corps unit will begin coordinating and training in combat training during the winter training period.

For reference:

A distinctive feature of the T-80BV family of tanks is a single gas turbine power plant, for which it was named a “flying” tank. The car is capable of accelerating to a speed of over 70 km / h and driving about 500 kilometers without refueling. The technique has proven itself well when operated in extreme arctic conditions, which largely corresponds to the harsh Far Eastern winters.
