In Vladivostok, the collective of the Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School has fulfilled the New Year’s dream of more than 15 children as part of the “Christmas tree of wishes” campaign.

During the New Year holidays, children were invited to the school and, depending on their dreams, tried themselves as a shooter on a fire training simulator, learned to swim in the school’s pool with a professional instructor, and also learned other areas of maritime affairs.

Alina Zarudnaya had one of the most unusual desires. She said that she has long dreamed of learning how to save a battleship in conditional emergency situations.

The staff of the school planned a special lesson for her, in which they told how measures are taken to combat the damage of the ship, and then taught to apply this knowledge in practice with the help of a special simulator. Alina at the control panel practiced remotely extinguishing a simulated fire using standard ship fire extinguishing equipment, and then extinguished the simulated fire with a portable fire extinguisher.

At the end of the fulfillment of each wish, the children were presented with sweet New Year’s gifts.
