Christmas bazaars are always in demand among business – on average, two participants apply for each outlet, the head said. Moscow City Department for Competition Policy Ivan Shcherbakov.

“In 2021, the city sold 506 lots in the amount of 36 million rubles for placement or for the right to trade in non-stationary shopping facilities. Of the total number, plots for Christmas tree bazaars stand out. This year, as in the past, the city has sold 41 such sites for a total amount of more than 5.8 million rubles, “he said.

The sites for the Christmas tree bazaars have been sold through electronic auctions since 2015. They are decorated in the same style: with a modular fence in the shape of a Christmas tree, with a signboard “Yolochny Bazaar”. Before the New Year in such outlets you can buy spruce, pine or spruce branches.

Many entrepreneurs rent several points at once. Often winners of previous auctions return to bidding to expand. Usually their area varies from 15 to 50 square meters. In 2021, it decreased – all plots presented at the auctions did not exceed 30 square meters. The land plot offered for rent in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas is 15 square meters.

The starting price at the auction last year was 4972 rubles, and the final price was 5890 rubles. Over the past three years, the total cost of land plots has grown on average by 100 thousand rubles.
