In the Yaroslavl region, at the Pesochnoe training ground, the servicemen of the Ivanovo guards unit of the Airborne Forces began combat training. Battalions of the Ivanovsky and Kostroma parachute regiments of the formation were the first to arrive at the training ground.

As part of the combat training event, platoons are firing live fires under the leadership of the chiefs of staff of the airborne battalions. The main objectives of the training are to practice the actions of the platoons in defense and offensive, as well as the maximum coherence of the personnel of the subunits in the performance of the assigned tasks.

The servicemen fired from standard small arms and weapons of BMD-2K-AU airborne assault vehicles, and at the level of platoon commanders they practiced managing subordinate units, making the right decisions on incoming input. It was also worked out the retention of order of battle during the offensive in combat vehicles.

In the course of live firing, the personnel of the subunits, under the cover of combat vehicles, fired from standard weapons on the move at emerging targets at ranges of up to 1200 m. At the same time, the servicemen captured the firing positions of the simulated enemy and held the occupied line until the arrival of the main forces, quickly and accurately hitting the target.

In total, more than 10 units of airborne equipment and about 100 servicemen of the guards unit were involved in the combat firing of the platoons.
