More than 1,000 military signalmen of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (SMD) in the Stavropol Territory have begun conducting a special tactical exercise using modern technology.

In total, over 100 units of equipment are involved in the exercise, including the Artek radio station, the Downpour satellite communications station based on Ural-43203, and the L1 radio relay communications based on Kamaz-4350.

Communication units made a march of more than 30 km to the designated training ground.

In a given area, military signalmen quickly deployed field command posts and began to carry out tasks as intended.

During the exercise, practical actions will be worked out to organize data exchange between subscribers within the framework of an automated control system for units during an army operation at a distance of subscribers up to 500 km.

In addition, military personnel will improve the skills of using modern medium-power radio stations, space and satellite communication stations, mobile communication stations, digital radio relay stations, and small-sized satellite communication stations.
