In the conditions of snowfall, the Russian Emergencies Ministry pays special attention to long routes, along which there are no settlements, cafes, hotels and other infrastructure facilities, in which drivers who find themselves in a difficult situation can receive the necessary assistance. It is in such places that rescuers deploy task forces equipped with heavy equipment and deploy heating points.
On the territory of the Sakhalin Region, where due to a snowstorm, traffic is limited on six sections of federal and local highways, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the traffic police, form organized convoys for the movement of vehicles to their destination. Also in readiness for deployment are 16 mobile heating points with a capacity of more than 270 people and 26 stationary heating points with a capacity of about 1,500 people.
Emergency warnings operate in the Krasnodar Territory. The Main Directorate has organized round-the-clock work of the operational headquarters. Operational groups continue to work on monitoring the operational situation. High cross-country vehicles have been alerted. In the municipality of Temryuk district, on the FAD A-290 near the village of Taman, a mobile heating station of the Main Directorate has been deployed. The point includes an inflatable tent for 20 people, in which motorists can relax, warm up and drink hot tea, coffee, charge mobile phones, and get other help. Also, as part of the mobile heating station, there is an emergency rescue vehicle equipped with equipment for unblocking and other assistance to motorists in case of possible road accidents. In the Central Control Center of the Main Directorate, the hydrometeorological situation is continuously monitored.
