CSTO peacekeepers protect airfields, bakeries, thermal power plants, water pumping stations, television centers, military warehouses, arsenals and other state, military and socially significant facilities, including CHP-1, CHP-2, CHP-3, the city water utility “Druzhba” .

To control the situation in the areas where tasks are performed, units of the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces are using units of unmanned aerial vehicles. Monitoring of the situation by unmanned aerial vehicles is carried out around the clock in four areas of aerial reconnaissance, the results of which are sent to mobile command posts in real time.

In accordance with the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council, adopted on January 6, 2022, the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were sent to the Republic of Kazakhstan for a limited time period to stabilize and normalize the situation.

They included units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

From the Russian Federation, the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces included units and military units of the Airborne Forces.
