In North Ossetia, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have perfected their skills in rescuing and transporting victims on the slope of a ski resort. In winter, rescuers regularly have to transport athletes who were injured during the descent.

According to the plan of the exercises, a skier who injured her leg at the beginning of the descent needed help. Rescuers gave the girl first aid, and lowered her down on a special stretcher – Akye.

At the second training point, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations honed their skills in rescuing people from the cable car. The evacuation of passengers from the cable car is an extreme measure, but you also need to be prepared for it: power outages and malfunctions of the backup diesel engine can occur at any time. Evacuation by cable car requires special attention and high professionalism. As a rule, such work takes place in difficult weather conditions. In addition, specialists need to quickly and carefully remove tourists from the cabins at a height of tens of meters above the ground.

In addition, within the framework of the exercises, rescuers also practiced actions to search for people caught in an avalanche using beepers. For a person caught in an avalanche, such a device can give a real chance of salvation. An avalanche transceiver emits or receives signals at a specific frequency.

On Sakhalin, rescuers forced the descent of avalanches using a Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry with an anti-avalanche installation of the Russian Railways in the most dangerous areas in the Nevelsk region. Forced descents are carried out to prevent spontaneous avalanches that threaten the removal of snow masses onto the road.

During the flight along the slope, 20 directed “shots” were fired. The total area of ​​snow melted was more than 50 cubic meters. m.

The mobile anti-avalanche installation is a metal cone fixed to the helicopter with a conventional cable. The principle of operation of the installation is to remotely initiate the detonation of an oxygen-hydrogen mixture in a metal cone from the helicopter cabin using a wireless device.
