On January 14, Acting Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Chupriyan met with journalists on the occasion of the Russian Press Day.

He congratulated the media representatives on their professional holiday and noted the importance of the work of journalists to inform in the field of ensuring the safety of the population and active coverage of the activities of the ministry.

“Undoubtedly, you, the journalists covering the activities of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, are our friends and colleagues, because sometimes you do the work of preventing, saving and helping people on an equal footing with us. Many thanks to all of you for this!” A. Chupriyan stressed.

The Acting Head of the EMERCOM of Russia noted that over the 31 years of the existence of the EMERCOM of Russia, a reliable and professional journalistic pool has been formed, and the work of journalists allows all of us – society, authorities – to detect and solve problems that require immediate response in time.

In a solemn atmosphere, A. Chupriyan awarded 31 most distinguished journalists with departmental awards and certificates, and also presented valuable gifts.

In turn, media representatives thanked the Russian Emergencies Ministry for active cooperation and prompt information about ongoing emergency events.
