At the Military Space Academy (VKA) named after A.F. Mozhaisky hosted the VI All-Russian military-scientific conference “Actual problems of the use of space forces and means to ensure the military security of the Russian Federation”, dedicated to the 310th anniversary of the establishment of the university.

At the plenary session, the participants of the event were greeted by the head of the academy, Lieutenant-General Maxim Penkov. He conveyed the congratulations of the first Commander of the Military Space Forces, Colonel-General Vladimir Ivanov, on the 310th anniversary of the largest polytechnic university of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The conference was attended by Alexander Rakhmanov, Head of the Ground Infrastructure Development Center of PJSC MAK Vympel, Kirill Makarov, Deputy General Designer of the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern, and other honored guests. The conference participants expressed a unanimous opinion that the A.F. Mozhaisky plays an important role in solving urgent issues related to military and civil space.

The plenary session ended with a speech by Professor of the Department of History and Philosophy Yuri Nikulin, who in his report focused on the main milestones in the formation of a higher military engineering educational institution and drew attention to the exceptional importance of developing an interest in the study of the country’s history among the younger generation.

More than 110 people took part in the scientific discussions, which were held in thematic sections, including 35 representatives from 20 organizations and departments, as well as civilian specialists from defense enterprises and research institutes and centers of Russia.
