In the Pechenga district of the Murmansk region, at the training ground of the separate Red Banner Kirkenes Marine Brigade of the Northern Fleet (SF), night classes on driving combat vehicles were held. A total of 12 BTR-82A armored personnel carriers were involved. Classes were held under difficult weather conditions in the Arctic: strong wind loads, low temperatures and deep snow cover.

BTR-82A drivers practiced off-road driving, overcoming various obstacles, such as blockages, ravines, steep ascents, descents and slopes. The servicemen also learned to provide assistance to equipment stuck in the snow.

The practical lesson was preceded by briefings and the study of the theoretical part of driving equipment in various weather conditions, as well as passing tests according to the Rules of the Road.

Such classes allow you to develop the necessary skills to operate combat vehicles in the extreme conditions of the Arctic.
