In the formations of the combined arms army of the Eastern Military District stationed in the Republic of Buryatia, the first qualifying stage of the competition “Excellence in military intelligence”, which is part of the Army Games-2022 program, has started.

Upon completion of the first stage, the winning teams will begin active preparations for the second stage, which will take place in early February this year at the Burduny combined arms training ground.

During the competition, the scouts will have to make a 10-kilometer forced march to the rear of a mock enemy and work out various inputs, including organizing an ambush on a convoy of equipment.

In addition, the servicemen will overcome the “scout path”, which includes ditches with communication passages, fences, burning stairs, breaches in the walls, and a minefield.

As part of the practical part of the competition, scouts will fulfill the standards for shooting from standard weapons, throwing knives, sapper shovels and driving military equipment.

To create conditions that are as close to real as possible, a significant number of simulation tools will be used, including smoke and booby traps.
