The exhibition “Propellers” was opened at the Central Air Force Museum in the village of Monino Shchelkova and a round table dedicated to the Day of the Moscow Region was held.

The meetings were held within the framework of interaction with the All-Russian public organization “Russian Geographical Society” and popularization of the geographical, historical and cultural heritage of Russia in the Aerospace Forces.

The organizers of the events were: Test Center 929 GLITs of the Ministry of Defense of Russia named after V.P.

Central Air Force Museum, Central Officers’ Club of the Aerospace Forces, Shchelkovo local branch of the Moscow Regional Branch of the All-Russian public-state organization “Union of Women of Russia”.

The theme of the “Round Table” dedicated to the Day of the Moscow Region was “Air Force guarding the skies of the Moscow region on the example of the development of the Shchelkovsky district.” At the beginning of the solemn event, on behalf of the main command of the Aerospace Forces, the head of the central officer club of the Aerospace Forces, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Luzhbin spoke. At the meeting, they talked about how the Moninsky and Chkalovsky military garrisons were created, as well as about the creation of the Star City garrison. Also during the round table, employees of the Shchelkovo Museum of Local History spoke about the development of industry in the territory of the Shchelkovo region and the formation of the Shchelkovo district, which was transformed several years ago into an urban district.

The events were attended by: veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Guards Senior Lieutenant Galina Brok-Beltsova, Colonel Ivan Zhuchkov, Candidate of Military Sciences, Colonel Vlado Zrnich, Honored Military Pilot, Colonel General Boris Korolkov, Doctor of Military Sciences, Lieutenant General Ivan Naydenov, military personnel of the VKS, members of the Yunarmiya TsVPV VKS (at the CSC VKS).

Sergey Lashmanov, soloist of the creative group of the CSC VKS, performed musical numbers of a military-patriotic orientation to the audience.
