Servicemen of the engineering regiment of the Southern Military District (SMD) in the Kuban are eliminating the consequences of a simulated natural disaster using the latest mobile demining complex MICR as part of a special tactical exercise.

Having made a march of more than 50 km to the designated area, the military personnel conducted engineering, radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance. Having overcome the contaminated area, the specialists set up a field camp.

On the ground, military engineers will fulfill the standards for mine-blasting, the installation of mine-explosive obstacles, mine clearance in various natural disaster conditions and building a bridge across the Afips mountain river with a carrying capacity of up to 60 tons.

More than 800 military personnel are taking part in the exercise, over 200 units of special equipment are involved, including the IMR-3 engineering obstacle blocking vehicle, the TMM-3M2 heavy mechanized bridge and the military single-bucket excavator.

Control of the situation in the area of ​​the exercise from the air is provided by unmanned aircraft.
