Due to the worsening weather in the Murmansk region, the planned combat training activities of the Northern Fleet (SF) have been adjusted in accordance with weather conditions.

Additional security measures have been taken at the bases of the fleet forces, the ships have been sealed, the property has been secured in a storm, the rescue forces and tugboats have been put on high alert. Damage control means, rescue forces and support vessels have been tested and are ready for action.

Combat training of personnel of the coastal troops of the Northern Fleet at the training grounds is carried out in a planned manner, taking into account weather conditions.

Technically complex activities that pose a potential risk have been canceled: loading and unloading weapons, diving descents, etc.

Naval aviation flights and the movement of automobile convoys have been adjusted taking into account actual and forecast weather conditions. The duty forces are on duty as usual.

Wind speed in the Murmansk region reaches 25-27 m/s, heavy snowstorm, poor visibility, roughness in the Barents Sea is 5-6 points. At the exit from the Kola Bay, the wind speed in gusts reaches 30 m/s. In the north of the Murmansk region, a third of the monthly snow norm fell over the weekend. This weather will continue until Monday evening.
