Specialists of the logistic support unit (MTO) of the Western Military District (ZVO) have begun transporting the BT-7A tank to the Patriot Military Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Russian Armed Forces.

Transportation of a combat vehicle of the times of the Great Patriotic War is carried out over a distance of over 700 km by a KamAZ truck tractor, accompanied by a military traffic police of the Western Military District.

After the completion of all restoration and repair work, the tank will take pride of place among the exhibits of the Patriot Park. Specialists will restore exactly the lost elements of his armor and interior decoration.

“In total, 73 Patriot parks have been created on the territory of formations and military units of the district, where military-patriotic events are regularly held in compliance with anti-epidemic measures. In 2022, five more parks will be formed,” said Colonel-General Alexander Zhuravlev, Commander of the Western Military District.


Tank BT-7A (artillery support tank), crew 3 people. It has an oversized turret with a 76 mm KT cannon and three machine guns. The first tank prototype was built in 1934. Serially produced until 1940, operated by the troops until 1945.
