The jury noted the RFID cable and special NFC tags.

The products of the capital’s factories received honorary diplomas “Golden Hundred” of the All-Russian competition “100 Best Goods of Russia” in the category “Industrial and technical products”. The cable with the RFID system was developed by the Moscow plant Moskabel, and special NFC tags that ensure the operation of the system were manufactured at another Moscow enterprise, the Mikron plant.

“Moscow companies rely on quality and the latest production technologies. This provides them with competitive advantages in the Russian and foreign markets. The enterprises of the city actively develop their own developments and, what is important, cooperate with other companies. Often such collaborations can be observed between industries within industry clusters, operating, for example, in the territory of the metropolitan special economic zone. The cooperation between the Moskabelmet group of companies and the Mikron plant is a different kind of cooperation that brought together one of the leaders in the cable industry and a leading manufacturer of microelectronics in Russia,” said the head of the Moscow

Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov.

The group of companies (GC) Moskabelmet, which, in addition to the Moskabel plant, includes three more industry-specific productions, systematically offers new solutions. For example, in 2021 it introduced an underwater hybrid cable to power oil and gas platforms. It can be laid at a depth of up to 200 meters along the bottom of rivers, lakes and seas. The cable provides offshore platforms with electricity from land sources.

RFID cable identification system is another development of the enterprise. In fact, this is an electronic passport that is sewn into the sheath of any cable manufactured at the enterprise. Product data is recorded on an NFC tag and read by a smartphone using a special application. This not only eliminates the need to store paper documents, but also provides protection against falsification. Moreover, as the product is used, new information can be added to the tag, for example, about repairs.

“The world is constantly evolving, and we do not remain indifferent spectators in creating the future today. Our engineers are constantly thinking about how to make the company’s products better and more convenient to use. That is why we have developed the MAGNETAG RFID cable, which can definitely be called a new trend in power transmission solutions. For us, this is already the third victory in the competition “100 Best Goods of Russia”, but our products are in the “Golden Hundred” for the first time. We are proud that our innovative products are recognized at various levels, and we are not going to stop there,” said Pavel Moryakov, General Director of the Moskabelmet group of companies.

The tags for the RFID system were developed and produced by specialists from the Mikron plant, a leading manufacturer of microelectronics in Russia, a domestic leader in the field of RFID. The company’s product line includes more than 200 RFID tags and solutions designed by its own RFID laboratory.

Aleksey Markin, head of the RFID laboratory of Mikron JSC, noted that radio frequency NFC tags were developed and produced for the project, which provide contactless reading of information at a short distance. The key element of the tag is a microcircuit, into the memory of which service information is entered. It can be changed if necessary, but this can only be done with a password. This ensures automated accounting and control of products for all specified parameters.
