Order dated January 14, 2022 No. 5-r

The list of implantable medical devices that are available free of charge to citizens under the compulsory medical insurance policy (CMI) has been expanded to 375 items. The order to this effect was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Three new items have been added to the list. Among them is a bioprosthesis of the cardiac aortic valve / aortic prosthesis made of xenomaterial. It is used to provide specialized medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, in particular with congenital aortic valve stenosis.

Also in the updated list is a synthetic material for vascular embolization. Such a medical device is used in providing high-tech care to patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and postpartum hemorrhage.

The decision will increase the availability of expensive medical devices for patients who need special treatment.

The signed document amended the order of the Government dated December 31, 2018 No. 3053-r.
