Employees of the institution immediately called an ambulance, but the birth was rapid, and before the arrival of the ambulance, the woman safely gave birth to a healthy boy. His weight is 2 kg 800 gr., height – 48 cm. The paramedic senior lieutenant of the internal service Ekaterina Akimchenko had to take delivery on the spot, she was assisted in this by the deputy on-duty assistant to the head of pre-trial detention center-1, junior lieutenant of the internal service Ilya Bolshakov and junior inspector ensign of the internal service Marina Alekseeva.

Then the ambulance delivered the mother and baby to one of the maternity hospitals in Veliky Novgorod. Doctors noted the competent actions, quick reaction and courage of the SIZO-1 employees.

According to paramedic Ekaterina Akimchenko, although she is a medical worker, she had to face such a situation for the first time. All employees who took part in the birth are in a little stress after a difficult night shift, but they are very happy that everything ended well.
