More than 3 thousand guardsmen of the “winged infantry” and members of their families from Ivanovo and Kostroma celebrated the Orthodox feast of the Epiphany by taking baths in the consecrated fonts on Epiphany night.

Despite the frosty weather, servicemen of formations and military units of the Airborne Forces with their families arrived to celebrate the holiday. Among those who came to the Jordanians were also servicemen who had recently returned after completing peacekeeping tasks in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On the feast of the Epiphany, festive services were held in all prayer rooms and churches of the military units of the Ivanovo formation. Assistants to the commanders of military units for work with believing servicemen sprinkled the personnel with holy water and consecrated the baptismal fonts installed in the military units.

Everywhere for changing clothes and heating, special tents were set up, equipped with stoves to maintain a comfortable temperature, where everyone could also warm themselves with hot tea.

All events were held in compliance with all requirements to prevent the spread of infectious and colds and the mandatory presence of medical workers.
