Over 400 military personnel joined the military school of cooks of the Western Military District (ZVO) in the Moscow region during the winter period of training. Within four months, they will undergo a one-month course of intensive combined arms training and a three-month course in the specialties of a cook and a baker.
After mastering the basics of the kitchen facilities used in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in stationary conditions, the cadets will learn the procedure for deploying a battalion food point and cooking in the field using a mobile baking unit, a mobile baking oven, as well as a modernized mobile block kitchen and a mobile car kitchen.
Upon completion of training, military personnel will be able to independently prepare up to 120 different dishes in the prescribed amount. After the assignment of the appropriate qualifications, the servicemen will continue their further service in formations and military units of the Armed Forces, as well as other law enforcement agencies.
In total, during the existence of the military school of cooks of the Western Military District, more than 21 thousand highly qualified cooks and bakers were trained.
